Egyptian American Marriage Helpful Information

I wrote some articles before to help Egyptians and Americans who are married or welling to marry in Egypt, I have described the challenges and legal process on marriage through the Egyptian Family Court when the American Embassy was not giving the approval of marriage to Americans that required by the Foreigners Marriage Office in Egypt.

After this problem is solved, you don’t need to go through court issue anymore, just follow the information on the American Embassy website, it explains almost everything, but it doesn’t tell how exactly time to finish and have the final paper in the hand. Then you will have to translate it and get approval of the Foreign Ministry of Egypt.

The really funny thing is you will find an email for the American Embassy in Egypt on their website asking you to please send an email to the Embassy if you have any questions, this email is for dead people I guess, I emailed them since months ago, and still have no reply till now, even the phone no. they provide for help, it’s a pain in the ass, if you need to call the Embassy you will have to wait for hours and try lots till someone answer you.

Anyways.. the time you will need is from 3 up to 4 months if everything is fine and you can provide papers needed on time, otherwise it will take more time.

If you are married already and want to go through immigration to USA, your American partner must have maintained continuous residency in Egypt a minimum of the preceding six months in order to demonstrate residency to the Consular Officer, so be ware of that, and expect this will take long time, probably one year!

At this point I should mention something important, for those who are welling to marry for immigration, plz be ware that USA is not the dream land you are expecting, and married is v very important thing is one’s life, so.. plz don’t hurt your self and other with this marriage is you don’t love your partner, because you will suffer lots of you are wishing only to immigrate to the USA and thinking you be fine with that, and something else… I wanted to tell you also that who want to travel to USA should know what he is doing, because it’s not easy to live there, and you better have something important to do there like a goal for your life or else you will lose your dreams, family, and life in a country like that.
